The region is dotted with plantations of vines, lemons, olives, strawberries, oranges, melons, tomatoes and countless other fruits and vegetables. There are many beautiful farms in the area that are ready to host you on your next trip to this picturesque island.

Many new luxury farmhouses have popped up to cater to increasing numbers of tourists. The Ta’ Mena Estate is one of the most popular estates among agritourists visiting Gozo. It is also situated just a short walk from the Marsalforn fishing village, and just 3km away from one of the most picturesque parts of the island’s coastline.

Agritourism in Gozo is much more than just living on farms since tourists also get a prime opportunity to interact with agriculture. You can pick fruits off trees, feed livestock or even make wine at a local winery. Some farmhouses let you harvest grapes and olives and then take part in olive-oil pressing and wine-making.

If you just want to relax, kick back in the fields and enjoy some delicious food made from the freshest produce in the country with a glass of locally-made wine. Many farmhouses also have outdoor swimming pools in which you can take a quick dip to cool off from the Mediterranean sun.
